Isn't the “Reasoning from the Scriptures” book dated, anyway?

How can we be sure the Bible has not been changed?
by Doug Mason inat page 63 of its book, reasoning from the scriptures, the watchtower society poses the question: how can we be sure the bible has not been changed?.
the reasoning book opens its response with a citation from a book written in 1929: the bible from the beginning by p. marion simms.. i have prepared a study that examines whether the reasoning from the scriptures book accurately presents the position presented by simms in his book.. http://www.jwstudies.com/we_can_be_sure.pdf.
does simm's book really say that we can be sure the bible has not been changed?.

Warwick Blue Print!/Rutherford brochures!
by Atlantis inwhen you download this file you will need to wait for about 30 seconds for all the images to come into focus.
the images should come into view in the pdf right in front of you.
if you don't wait the file could become jammed and you would need to start all over again.

Highlights from the zone overseer visit of brother Gerrit Losch to Norway
After Armageddon there Will be no more Norway, Sweden, USA. We will have an administration center in the new world. Ezekiel 48:35. We are building now a place in Warwick (we don’t like the name, we hope rename it Peacewick)there will be a place for about 1000 Bethelites. If this is the new Adm. Center we don’t know. We do know there will be a Administrative Center in the new world.Perhaps they should rename it to “Shammah”.
Ezekiel 48:35, footnote — What does the city in Ezekiel’s vision represent? “Jehovah-Shammah” is situated in “profane” land, indicating that it must represent something earthly. The city seems to represent the earthly administration that benefits those who will make up the righteous “new earth.” (2 Peter 3:13) Having gates on each side illustrates its openness. The overseers among God’s people are to be approachable.
w07 8/1 p. 11 par. 3
So it goes from "seems to represent" to "there will be" an administration center? How aloof must these Eight be to declare such a vague text represents their new building in Warwick? (Reminds me of the . . . from Scranton to Hoboken Terminal . . . story)

This WT book allows one raised as a JW to do a critical review of the religion and elders can't go against it.
by EndofMysteries ini love this gem, it was taken off the jw.org website, it seems only material after 1990 is up now, but it's here, http://www.scribd.com/doc/5472988/the-time-for-true-submission-to-god .
page 6, "the need to search for the truth".
says this....and i couldn't agree with it more!

Can the Demons infect a computer?
by Comatose inno self respecting jw would doubt the demons ability to attach themselves to physical objects.
for example if a jw put a poster on their wall of a pentagram or some other "satanic symbol" that's a "doorway" for the demunz.
it's inviting them into your home.

Now I'm not a JW, is it ok for me to...
by Julia Orwell in...drink a lot?
gosh i love wine.
i like a good bottle of wine each night, and i have a high tolerance to alcohol, though i never drank much (except for a couple of times with the vodka, but i don't keep that stuff in the house anymore, way too dangerous) as a jw because getting slightly happy is a 'sin'.

Proverbs 4:18 as Last Scriptural Defense for New Light?
by ProfCNJ inhi folks, good morning.
july 2013 wt study edition has been discussed and commented on at length here in jw.net and in cedar's blog (jwsurvey.org).
won't go to technicalities as significant amount of stellar arguments have cast doubt on the new light, let alone break wt's claims anew.. .

Ah, how they twist and turn:
Did they believe that they had all the answers, the full light of truth? To that question Brother Russell pointedly answered: “Certainly not; nor will we have until the ‘perfect day.’” (Prov. 4:18, KJ) Frequently they referred to their Scriptural beliefs as “present truth” — not with any idea that truth itself changes but rather with the thought that their understanding of it was progressive.

the new tracts were printed in canada.. is something going on at the wallkill printery that would would hinder book production there?.

Now I know - I heard a story about a CO mentioning from the platform something about their fleet of vehicles all coming from VW car dealerships. Bethel Germany has some ongoing deal supplying all COs and DOs with VW products.
Perhaps soneone can confirm this.

Religious people are less intelligent than atheists, according to analysis of scores of scientific studies stretching back over decades
by besty inhttp://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/religious-people-are-less-intelligent-than-atheists-according-to-analysis-of-scores-of-scientific-studies-stretching-back-over-decades-8758046.html.
study found 'a reliable negative relation between intelligence and religiosity' in 53 out of 63 studies.
a new review of 63 scientific studies stretching back over decades has concluded that religious people are less intelligent than non-believers.. .

Study co-author Jordan Silberman says that it would be a mistake to assume their findings mean that if you’re a believer, you’re a few fries short of a Happy Meal.
To lump, say, Jehovah’s Witnesses with American evangelical Christians would be ridiculous for a study of this type, as JWs decry education (particularly for women), and evangelicals founded such intellectual bastions as Wheaton and currently laud such scholars as scientist Francis Collins, historian Mark Noll, and… well, you get my point.
So, what's he sayin' then? He is not lumping JWs together with this type of study because of what?
a) JWs are not a few fries short of a Happy Meal?
b) There is no Happy Meal with JWs?
